On Saturday, 19 September, we will give you a behind-the-scenes look at one of the largest railway projects in the Netherlands. We will do this not from a construction site, but from an Arriva train. In a specially reserved train compartment, experts will take you through the story behind the renovation of the Maaslijn. As the landscapes of Limburg, Brabant and Gelderland pass by, you will learn all about the future of this important railway line and the work being carried out.
The Maaslijn is a busy and important regional railway connection. In the coming years, we will work hard to make the line faster, more sustainable and more reliable. During the journey, you will learn more about the electrification of the Maaslijn, the addition of a second track, and the work being carried out on our bridges and viaducts. Sustainability and ecology will also be discussed, as well as how we manage safety.
