On Thursday, October 2, 2025, we will celebrate a special milestone: the official opening of our new construction and parking deck. This opening will be festively performed by councilor Anne Cristien Spekle of the municipality of Oisterwijk. A moment we look back on with pride, as this expansion marks not only a physical growth but also an important step towards a sustainable and future-proof way of working.
Growth with vision
We literally outgrew our space. For the expansion of our building, Quadrant4 designed a part of the building with office space and a warehouse, entirely focused on the future: spacious, flexible, and sustainable. The building seamlessly fits the character of the business park, where greenery and work go hand in hand. Think of a spacious garden with plants that attract insects, a bee hotel, and a sedum roof that is not only aesthetic but also functions as natural cooling for the offices.
Sustainability in every fiber
Sustainability is not a side issue, but the foundation of this new construction. The entire construction has been realized by the main contractor ADSR on an emission-free construction site. The part of the building (old warehouse) that had to make way for the new construction has been carefully dismantled for reuse in another location. The style of the existing building has been preserved, allowing old and new to reinforce each other.
A CO₂-free air treatment system ensures a healthy indoor climate, while the energy management system smartly handles consumption and generation. Solar panels are integrated into this system and provide a first step towards emission-free working.
Smart energy solutions
A particularly innovative component is our own battery storage. Together with an external agency, we have developed a consumption profile and made capacity calculations. The result: a battery the size of a sea container that is charged at night with the generated solar energy and captures peaks during the day. This reduces pressure on the electricity grid and creates extra space for the future. This solution is not only future-proof for ourselves but also an example of what Swietelsky can offer to other companies that want to grow but face limitations in their power connection.
Thinking ahead in functionality
The parking deck has also been designed with an eye on the future. The structure offers the possibility to add a roof with solar panels in the future to further expand the generation capacity. This way, we could charge electric machines during the week so that they can be fully utilized on weekends. A smart way to combine sustainability and efficiency.
Additionally, an investment has been made in a training center with its own piece of track alongside the building. This creates the facilities to train employees internally. This contributes to safety, knowledge retention, and accelerates the onboarding period of new colleagues. An investment in people and quality.
