Last weekend, Swietelsky Rail Benelux worked on the railway in Echt. On behalf of ProRail, we provided the bicycle/pedestrian crossing at Galvaniweg with a new surface. From 5:00 AM on Monday morning, trains on the Roermond-Sittard line were running as scheduled again.
Swietelsky replaced the current concrete slabs of the crossing with rubber crossing slabs during a 52-hour service interruption. Additionally, we renewed the ballast, sleepers, rails, and glue joints. Hamer Infra was responsible for constructing the crossing surface. With the application of new markings, the work was completed. By renewing the crossing, Swietelsky Rail Benelux contributes to improving safety on the railway.
