Unique new switches for Brabant in Liempde; shorter travel time and more comfort for the traveler!

These mega switches are 140 meters long, allowing for very gentle curves to be made. This is a great advantage, as it enables trains to take such a switch at full speed without having to slow down to 40 or 80 kilometers per hour.

Almost all switches are in place and the welding work is on schedule. Not without challenges, as unforeseen circumstances cannot be avoided even with weeks of preparation...
Due to a defect in the locomotive - which was supposed to pick up our stopping machine in Germany - a significant challenge arose! BAM helped us out, as they pulled out all the stops to arrange a replacement stopping machine on site for us. This minimized our delays, and when our stopping machine finally arrived at our project, we were able to complete the job.
