On behalf of Infrabel, we are working at multiple locations in Belgium on the high-speed line (HSL). This year, we are carrying out the second phase of the renewal of Track A on HSL1 (Brussels–French border) and replacing sleepers on HSL2 (Leuven–Liège).

HSL Brussels – French Border

The high-speed line (HSL) between Brussels and the French border is an important European rail corridor for passenger transport. To minimise disruption for travellers and Eurostar (the operator), a phased approach was chosen. Last summer, we completed the first phase (approx. 18 kilometres from Tourpes to Infrabel Brugelette). Working from south to north, we renewed the track in one direction (permanent-way works). To make this possible, the RU 800, a tamping machine and a BDS were deployed.

This year, from 15 August to 1 September, we will renew around 16 kilometres of track between Halle and Enghien, including sleepers and rails, and we will clean the ballast.
